What is sexual harassment?

Redfern Legal Centre - International Student Legal Service

Factsheet on recognising sexual harassment, making a complaint, and getting support.

Sexual harassment is any unwanted behaviour of a sexual nature. Including unwanted comments, touches, looks, or messages. It can be hard to recognise, especially in a new country, and it is never your fault.

This free factsheet explains:

  • what sexual harassment is
  • how to recognise it
  • how to make a complaint
  • what support is available.

Everyone has the right to live, work, and study free from sexual harassment. You do not have to put up with it. You can talk to someone or make a complaint if you choose to.
