How can I prevent getting chlamydia?

You can reduce your risk of getting chlamydia by using condoms during oral, vaginal and anal sex. If you share sex toys, use a new condom for each partner and clean sex toys between uses.

If you have chlamydia, avoid sex until 7 days after you and your partner(s) have started treatment.

Regular STI testing, every 3-12 months, is also important and part of a healthy confident sex life.
