What is a healthy relationship?
A healthy relationship is one where both people feel respected, valued and safe. Healthy relationships are built on trust, honesty, communication, consent and mutual respect. Both people should feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, feelings and boundaries.
It is also healthy for each person to maintain their own friendships, interests, cultural connections and activities outside the relationship. Disagreements can happen, but they should be handled respectfully.
